Dongdaemun Design Plaza Poster

Brian Collins was one of a group of internationally renowned designers asked to create a poster celebrating the opening of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, Korea, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. In designing the poster, he and I looked to the architectural forms of the building itself as well as its purpose. The interlocking ‘DDP’ is derived from the large support structures in the architecture. The way these forms intersect and run off the page intends to reflect the DDP’s role as a crossroads and center of Korean and international intellectual and cultural exchange.
