Founded in 2015 by Anthony Rudolf, formerly GM of Per Se and Director of Operations for the Thomas Keller restaurant group, Journee is a membership-based community that aims to improve the lives of restaurant professionals. Through events, educational content, mentorship, and networking opportunities, Journee advocates for improvements in the restaurant business at a national level.

Journee approached Virgo to create a logo and brand identity, including systems for typography, color, iconography, and digital platforms. The interlocking J's of the logo reflect the mission of the company, and the graphic qualities of the symbol are reflected in Journee's iconography.
